China's Synthetic Ammonia Import and Export Data for September 2023
In September 2023, according to customs data, China imported 33,700 tons of synthetic ammonia. This represented a year-on-year increase of 73.71% and a month-on-month decrease of 68.88%. The average import price was $378.35 per ton. From January to September 2023, the cumulative import volume reached 591,000 tons, an increase of 396,400 tons compared to the previous year, showing a year-on-year growth of 203.63%.
The customs data also showed that in September 2023, China exported 8,100 tons of synthetic ammonia, marking a year-on-year decline of 86.11% and a month-on-month decrease of 5.81%. The average export price for the month was $409.14 per ton. From January to September 2023, the total export volume was 160,800 tons, an increase of 55,600 tons from the previous year, a year-on-year rise of 52.84%.
In September 2023, the primary countries from which China imported synthetic ammonia were Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, accounting for 69% and 31% of the total imports, respectively. The main countries to which China exported synthetic ammonia in September were South Korea and Vietnam, accounting for 49% and 48% of the total exports,
