     recently, the pulverized coal hydroconversion technology (referred to as "pulverized coal hydroconversion technology") independently developed by Xinao Group has successfully completed the commissioning task of upgrading the coal hydroconversion integrated converter, which marks a major breakthrough in the world's first pulverized coal hydroconversion technology and adds a new path for the clean and efficient utilization of coal in China.

     according to the person in charge of hydrogasification technology of Xinao Natural Gas Co., Ltd. on Wednesday, the hydroconversion technology of pulverized coal is a new coal classification and quality utilization technology independently developed by Xinao, which belongs to the third generation advanced coal gasification technology and can realize one-step methane production. Its core is that pulverized coal reacts with hydrogen at medium temperature (800-1000 ℃) and high pressure (5~10MPa) to form methane, light aromatic hydrocarbons and clean semi-coke with high calorific value. This technology combines the advantages of coal-to-gas and coal-to-oil, which can not only realize the efficient and clean conversion of coal to natural gas, but also by-produce high value-added light aromatic oil products. Through ladder utilization and full-price development, it really realizes the clean, efficient and comprehensive utilization of coal resources. it's of great significance.

According to     , in the whole process of technology development, ENN R & D team has created many world firsts, such as pulverized coal high-pressure hydrogen gas-tight phase transportation technology, integrated converter and heat recovery coupling technology, high efficiency colliding pulverized coal burner, ultra-high solid content gas-solid separation technology, hydrogen recovery and circulating heating technology, aromatic oil separation and refining technology, etc.

     stressed on Wednesday that compared with the traditional vertical furnace pyrolysis, this technology has obvious advantages, wider applicability of raw materials, simpler composition of aromatic oil products, more energy-saving and efficient separation process, and higher economic value of the final product, which improves the conversion efficiency of raw coal, improves the quality and value of gas and liquid products, and fundamentally solves the problems of utilization of pulverized coal and oil / dust separation. The goal of stable, efficient and continuous operation of the system is achieved, and the co-production of oil and gas is realized.

According to the different reactivity of coal in different conversion stages,      coal classification and quality utilization technology can realize coal classification conversion and quality utilization by controlling the pyrolysis process of coal. Compared with direct combustion technology, it avoids excessive separation of coal structure, and is one of the effective ways to realize efficient and clean utilization of coal resources. The traditional coal classification and quality utilization technology is mainly atmospheric pressure and low pressure pyrolysis, and the biggest difficulty lies in the separation of oil and dust when using pulverized coal. At present, most technologies reduce the particle size of feedstock coal by optimizing reactor type, structure and control means, but due to the difficult problem of oil / dust separation, the use of pulverized coal can not be solved in a real sense. the main reason is that the tar can not be fully hydrocracked and lightened under low pressure, the tar produced is of poor quality, high freezing point, high viscosity, blocking filtration equipment and pipelines after mixing dust particles. Resulting in poor stability of the system, so it is still unable to really solve the problem of the use of pulverized coal.

In order to overcome the above problems,      Group began to develop pulverized coal hydroconversion technology as early as 2012, which is based on the national "863 Program" project "large-scale coal-to-clean fuel key technologies and process integration research", and jointly developed by a number of universities, scientific research institutes and design institutes.

     in July 2015, the key technology of coal hydroconversion and co-production of aromatics and methane with independent intellectual property rights passed the appraisal of technological achievements in Hebei Province. An expert group composed of Jin Yong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, agreed that the technology reached the international leading level, and suggested speeding up the progress of industrial demonstration plants. In 2018, the 400t / day coal hydroconversion industrial demonstration plant was completed and the technological process was opened for the first time to obtain qualified products; in 2021, it passed the acceptance of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, marking the world's first 100-ton hydroconversion industrial plant and the world's first 7.0MPa high-pressure powder gas flow bed conversion process unit to achieve industrialization. This year, the industrial demonstration plant has completed the technical transformation and upgrading. In the continuous operation of one month, the upgraded plant has not only realized the free conversion of the two working conditions of "high temperature and high gas, low temperature and high oil", but also obtained complete experimental data. This achievement has been approved by the performance assessment expert group of China Coal processing and Utilization Association, which also means the successful application of coal hydroconversion co-production of aromatics and methane.

After more than a decade of unremitting efforts,      hydroconversion technology of New Austria pulverized coal through the introduction of hydrogen, precise control of reaction conditions and other means to achieve directional regulation of the product, make full use of the structure of raw coal, co-production of methane and light aromatic oil products, coupling multiple reaction processes, the overall efficiency has been greatly improved. The whole process adopts advanced technologies such as dry coke discharge, dry dust removal and efficient heat recovery, and the design indexes such as process coal consumption and water consumption are in line with or better than the advanced value of the industry. In addition, the technology chooses the entrained flow bed as the reactor, which has the advantages of simple structure and easy amplification, which lays an important foundation for the efficient clean conversion of millions of tons of large-scale coal.

It is reported that on the basis of the stable operation of the 100-ton demonstration plant, the New Austria Group has completed the development and design of core technology and equipment on the scale of 1600 tons per day, and plans to launch the project in areas rich in low-rank coal resources, such as Xinjiang, northern Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia.
