The United States makes preliminary countervailing ruling on 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid

On September 10, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an announcement to make a preliminary countervailing ruling on 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid imported from China and India, and initially ruled that Jiangxi Tianyu Chemical Co., Ltd. Ltd.)The tax rate is 27.68%, Shandong Rainbow Agrosciences Co., Ltd.(Hong Kong), Ltd.)The tax rate is 3.10%, the tax rate for other Chinese producers/exporters is 27.34%, and the tax rate for Indian producers/exporters is 3.28%-5.29%. The U.S. Department of Commerce is expected to make a final countervailing ruling on January 21, 2025. This case involves products under the U.S. Customs Code 2918.99.2010.


On April 23, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce launched an anti-dumping and countervailing investigation against 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid imported from China and India.
