    The series of reports on the achievements of New China's economic and social development in the past 75 years released by the National Bureau of Statistics on the 10th shows that after 75 years of development, China's industrial aggregate has achieved leapfrog growth and its international competitiveness has been significantly enhanced. World Bank data shows that the added value of China's manufacturing industry has surpassed that of the United States for the first time since 2010, ranking first in the world. In 2022, it will account for 30.2% of the world, becoming an important driving force for global industrial economic growth.

  The report shows that in the early days of the founding of New China, more than 80% of China's exports were primary products. In 1978, the proportion of primary product exports fell to 53.5%, and industrial manufactured exports accounted for 46.5%. After 2000, industrial manufactured products rose to more than 90%. In 2023, mechanical and electrical products will account for 58.5% of total exports, of which 5.22 million automobiles will be exported, making China the world's largest automobile exporter for the first time.

  In recent years, China's industrial enterprises above designated size have continued to increase investment in science and technology, injecting strong new momentum into the rapid development of the industrial economy. In 2022, the number of industrial enterprises above designated size in the country will reach 176,000 with R & D activities, an increase of 9.2 times over 2000, accounting for 37.3% of industrial enterprises above designated size, an increase of 26.7 percentage points over 2000; Expenditure on industrial research and experimental development (R&D) above designated size was 1.9362 billion yuan, a 38.5-fold increase over 2000, and the R & D investment intensity was 1.4%, an increase of 1.2 percentage points over 2000.

  In 2023, the World Intellectual Property Organization will recognize China as the world's largest international patent applicant. In terms of information and communication technology, China's patent ownership accounts for 14% of the global total. Make multiple breakthroughs in key technology fields, promote major transformation of the manufacturing industry and equipment updates and upgrades, and allow traditional industries to "sprout new shoots". Data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that in 2023, the penetration rate of digital R & D and design tools for key industrial enterprises in China will reach 80.1%, and the numerical control rate of key processes will reach 62.9%.

  Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the added value of China's equipment manufacturing industry above designated size has grown at an average annual rate of 8.7%, and the added value of high-tech manufacturing industry above designated size has grown at an average annual rate of 10.3%.
