India issues final anti-dumping ruling on China-related epichlorohydrin

On August 14, 2024, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement to make a positive final anti-dumping ruling on epichlorohydrin originating in or imported from China, South Korea and Thailand, recommending that the products involved in the case in the above countries be levied for a period of five years. Anti-dumping duties are: US$0 -216/ton for China, US$298 -327/ton for Thailand, and US$274 -557/ton for South Korea. See the attached table for details of the taxation. This case involves products under Indian Customs Code 29103000.


On September 26, 2023, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement stating that in response to an application submitted by Indian company Meghmani Finechem Limited, an anti-dumping investigation was launched against epichlorohydrin originating in or imported from China, South Korea and Thailand. The dumping investigation period of the case is from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 (12 months), and the damage investigation period is from 2019 to 2020, 2020 to 2021, 2021 to 2022 and the dumping investigation period.
