On August 19, Kashgar Prefecture held the 2024 New Energy and New Materials Industry Matchmaking Meeting and signed a large order of 19.6 billion yuan.


Strategic emerging industries such as new energy and new materials are among the "Top Ten Industries" in Kashgar Prefecture and are also a tens of billions of industrial clusters that Kashgar Prefecture has focused on building. At present, the installed electricity capacity in Kashgar Prefecture is 7.812 million kilowatts, and the scale of photovoltaic power generation projects under construction is 9.5 million kilowatts. A solid Kashgar-Bachu-Shache triangular ring-ka 750 kV power grid has been formed. A number of new energy and new material enterprises, photovoltaic electrolysis water and hydrogen hydrogenation integrated stations and hydrogen energy transportation demonstration projects have been implemented one after another.


Four companies, including CNNC Huineng (Tianjin) Energy Co., Ltd., signed contracts with relevant counties and cities in Kashgar Prefecture, with a total amount of 19.6 billion yuan.


Among them, CNNC Huineng (Tianjin) Energy Co., Ltd. will implement a 1-million-kilowatt photovoltaic comprehensive sand control project in Shache County, with an investment of approximately 3 billion yuan. "The development momentum of Kashgar Prefecture is strong and has great potential in the future." Li Xudong, general manager of the company, said that the company will seize opportunities and accelerate investment layout in Kashgar Prefecture to better help the local area transform resource advantages into new driving forces for green economic development.
