According to customs data, China imported 28,000 tons of carbon black in July 2024, a year-on-year increase of 34.69% and a month-on-month increase of 2.28%; from January to July 2024, China imported a total of 179,000 tons of carbon black, an increase of 40.82% compared with the same period last year, and imports increased by approximately 51,800 tons.

The top three regions for carbon black imports in July 2024 are: Russia, Belgium, and South Korea; accounting for 79%, 5%, and 4% of the total imports respectively.

According to customs data, China's carbon black exports in July 2024 were approximately 82,500 tons, a year-on-year increase of 27.27%, and an increase of 14% month-on-month. From January to July 2024, China's cumulative exports of carbon black were 519,100 tons, an increase of 56.77% over the same period last year, and the export volume increased by approximately 188,000 tons.

Among them, the top three regions in carbon black exports in July 2024 are: Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia, accounting for 31%, 18%, and 15% of the total exports respectively.

According to customs data, China imported approximately 19,000 tons of high-temperature coal tar in July 2024, a year-on-year increase of 50.99%, and a month-on-month increase of 181.73%; from January to July 2024, the cumulative import volume was approximately 87,900 tons, an increase of 22.89% compared with the same period last year. The import volume increased by 16,400 tons, of which the top two regions for high-temperature coal tar imports in July were Indonesia and Vietnam.
