    "This project mainly builds a 750,000-ton/year propane dehydrogenation unit, a 30/670,000-ton/year propylene oxide/styrene combined unit, a 200,000-ton/year maleic anhydride unit and supporting public systems, tank farms, torches, etc. After being put into production, it will achieve an average annual sales revenue of 35.6 billion yuan, an increase in profits and taxes of 8 billion yuan, and more than 1000 new jobs will be created." Yang Lei, project leader and vice president of Yatong Petrochemical Group, introduced.

    A prominent feature of this project is the obvious agglomeration effect. The reporter learned that the project fully integrates the resources of Yatong Petrochemical Group and other enterprises in the development zone to which the project belongs, and processes low value-added propane and butane into high value-added propylene, propylene oxide, styrene and maleic anhydride. Value-added chemical products provide basic chemical raw materials for surrounding downstream enterprises. As a result, a good mutual supply relationship between upstream and downstream raw materials can be formed between affiliated enterprises, the degree of synergy between enterprises and products continues to increase, and key enterprises can realize "partition supply" of pipeline transportation, with high efficiency, less loss, and low cost.

    During the production process of the project, 550 million standard cubic meters of industrial hydrogen can be by-produced to supply hydrogen to Yatong Petrochemical and surrounding petrochemical enterprises. It can also utilize the exothermic heat from the reaction process to produce medium-pressure steam for enterprises 'own use, thereby greatly reducing carbon emissions.

    "In the next step, the group will take the Zhenhua project as the leader and continue to plan and develop in the direction of green degradable plastics along the direction of high-end chemicals and new materials, further lengthen the carbon-3 and carbon-4 industrial chains, and effectively promote the high-end petrochemical industry in northern Shandong.
