According to customs data, China's total bisphenol A exports in the first half of 2024 were 11,600 tons, an increase of 387.44% compared with the same period last year. Bisphenol A exports are mainly concentrated in May and June, and exports in these two months accounted for 61% of the total exports in the first half of this year.

In addition to the steady growth of my country's bisphenol A supply, the export price of bisphenol A is more advantageous. In the first half of the year, the average export price of bisphenol A was US$1,173.89/ton, and the average price dropped by 7.27% compared with the same period last year. Judging from the market price of bisphenol A in my country in the past five years, the average annual price of bisphenol A as of the first half of the year was 9673 yuan/ton, far lower than 2020-2023.

In the next three years, bisphenol A and its upstream and downstream (phenol ketones, bisphenol A, epoxy resin, PC) will still be in a capacity expansion cycle. The oversupply situation will be difficult to change in the short term. Industry profits will shrink or even lose money. Exports will remain an important development direction for production companies.
