The utilization rate of chemical raw materials and other production capacity in the second quarter was 76.4%

Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on July 15 showed that in the second quarter of 2024, the utilization rate of industrial capacity above designated size nationwide was 74.9%, an increase of 0.4 percentage points over the same period last year and an increase of 1.3 percentage points from the first quarter.

    Looking at three categories, in the second quarter of 2024, the mining industry capacity utilization rate was 76.0%; the manufacturing industry capacity utilization rate was 75.2%; and the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry capacity utilization rate was 71.4%.

    In terms of major industries, in the second quarter of 2024, the capacity utilization rate of the coal mining and washing industry was 72.8%, the oil and natural gas mining industry was 91.8%, the textile industry was 79.1%, and the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry was 76.4%. The non-metallic mineral products industry was 64.2%, the chemical fiber manufacturing industry was 85%, the non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry was 79.1%, and the general equipment manufacturing industry was 79.4%. Special equipment manufacturing accounted for 76.5%, automobile manufacturing accounted for 73.0%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing accounted for 74.7%, and computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing accounted for 76.2%.
