The National Bureau of Statistics released data on July 15. In the first half of the year, national fixed asset investment (excluding farmers) was 2.45391 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.9%. Among them, investment in chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing increased by 8.4%.

    In terms of industries, investment in the primary industry was 454 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%; investment in the secondary industry was 8.2297 billion yuan, an increase of 12.6%; and investment in the tertiary industry was 1.58554 billion yuan, a decrease of 0.2%.

    Among the secondary industry, industrial investment increased by 12.6% year-on-year. Among them, investment in mining increased by 17.0%, investment in manufacturing increased by 9.5%, and investment in electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply increased by 24.2%.

    Among the tertiary industry, infrastructure investment (excluding electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industries) increased by 5.4% year-on-year. Among them, investment in the water conservancy management industry increased by 27.4%, investment in the air transportation industry increased by 23.7%, and investment in the railway transportation industry increased by 18.5%.

    In terms of regions, investment in the eastern region increased by 3.8% year-on-year, investment in the central region increased by 4.0%, investment in the western region increased by 1.0%, and investment in the northeastern region increased by 3.4%.

    In terms of registration types, investment by domestic-funded enterprises increased by 3.8% year-on-year, investment by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises increased by 5.1%, and investment by foreign enterprises decreased by 15.8%. Source: Sinochem New Network
