Mexico issues final anti-dumping ruling on China's rigid PVC

On May 27, 2024, the Ministry of Economy of Mexico issued an announcement that rigid polyvinyl chloride originating in China (Spanish: película rígida de polímero de cloruro de vinilo, rígida de PVC/PVC rígido) made a positive final anti-dumping ruling and decided to impose an anti-dumping duty of 57.63% on the products involved. The products involved are transparent or colored rigid polyvinyl chloride rolls, sheets, films and flat strips with a plasticizer content of less than 6%, polymerized with other monomers, and involve products under TIGIE tariff code 3920.49.99. The announcement will take effect from the day after it is issued.

On August 12, 2022, Mexico launched an anti-dumping investigation against rigid polyvinyl chloride originating in China. On May 9, 2023, Mexico made a preliminary ruling on the case and initially ruled that a provisional anti-dumping duty of 57.63% should be imposed on the products involved.
