On May 14, at the construction site of the Xinjiang Shuguang Lvhua Biotechnology Co., Ltd., which is located in the Chemical Park of Tiemenguan Economic and Technological Development Zone, with an annual output of 100,000 tons of BDO (14-butanediol) and 120,000 tons of PBAT (biodegradable plastics) project, winding pipe corridors and chemical equipment are connected vertically and horizontally and staggered. Various large machinery shuttled back and forth for construction. Workers are performing their respective duties to speed up the construction and are busy for the project to be put into production as soon as possible.
"In accordance with the goals of mechanical completion on June 30 this year, China Transportation on August 31, and official commissioning and trial production on October 18, we are making every effort to advance the construction progress. At present, we have completed 70% of the total investment, and the on-site installation project volume is close to 80%. We are confident that we will be put into operation as scheduled." said Wang Sanliu, general manager of Shuguang Luhua Company.
It is reported that the project will be settled in the Chemical Park of Tiemenguan Economic Development Zone in 2021 and is planned to be constructed in three phases, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan. Among them, the first phase of the project with an annual output of 100,000 tons of BDO and 120,000 tons of PBAT started construction in April 2022, with a total investment of 3.569 billion yuan.
This year, the construction party of the project seized the favorable opportunity and made every effort to promote the construction of the project. After the completion of the project, the PBAT products produced can be widely used in disposable plastic products such as packaging materials, catering utensils, hygiene products, and mulch films. Through modification, the PBAT products produced can also be used in medical materials, optoelectronic chemistry, fine chemicals and other fields, injecting strong momentum into the city's building of an important chemical new material industry base in southern Xinjiang. Wang Sanliu introduced that after completion, the project is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of 2 billion yuan, profits and taxes of 700 million yuan, and create employment for 660 people.
When major projects have "gold content", they must also have "green content". At the project construction site, the construction of three desulfurization towers and other environmental protection facilities has been completed. In order to further build a "green factory" and "clean factory", Shuguang Luhua Company invested 411 million yuan in environmental protection equipment procurement and process improvement, accounting for 11.52% of the total investment.
"Our project uses natural gas as raw material. On the one hand, it is to improve energy utilization. On the other hand, it is also to respond to the country's call for energy conservation and emission reduction to promote enterprises to follow a green, low-carbon, high-quality development path." Wang Sanliu introduced that the company will reduce carbon emissions in production operations by introducing advanced production processes and environmentally friendly equipment.
