On May 11, Hubei Funolin New Materials Co., Ltd. announced the completion of a vinylidene fluoride polymer production line and supporting projects (Phase II project) with an annual output of 25,000 tons.

The project has a total investment of 949.4832 million yuan. The construction site is Qianjiang Economic Development Zone. After completion, it can produce a total annual output of 25000t/a polyvinylidene fluoride polymer (PVDF) and 27000t/a vinylidene fluoride (VDF), and by-products of 45000t/a difluoromonochloroethane (F-142b), 2800t/a high-boiling substances, 162500t/a hydrochloric acid, 6750t/a sodium hypochlorite, and 1250t/a vinylidene fluoride polymer.

After the completion of the first phase of the project, it can produce an annual output of 12500t/a of polyvinylidene fluoride polymer (PVDF) and 13500t/a of vinylidene fluoride (VDF), and a by-product of 22500t/a of difluoromonochloroethane (F-142b), 1400t/a of high-boiling substances, 81250t/a of hydrochloric acid, 3375t/a of sodium hypochlorite, and 625t/a of vinylidene fluoride polymer. The project will be completed in January 2023.

The second phase of the project can produce an annual output of 12500t/a of polyvinylidene fluoride polymer (PVDF), 13500t/a of vinylidene fluoride (VDF), 22500t/a of by-product difluoromonochloroethane (F-142b), 1400t/a of high-boiling substances, 81250t/a of hydrochloric acid, 3375t/a of sodium hypochlorite, and 625t/a of vinylidene fluoride polymer.
