The total investment of this reconstruction and expansion project is 355.19 million yuan to build a methane chloride plant with an annual output of 160,000 tons, a tetrachloroethylene plant with an annual output of 15,000 tons and a 10t/h liquid chlorine packaging (the methane chloride plant is packaged under abnormal operating conditions. Project background:
The existing project of Huanyang has 100,000 tons/year of epichlorohydrin, 300,000 tons/year of epoxy resin, 540,000 tons/year of high-salt wastewater treatment equipment, 240,000 tons/year of ionic membrane electrolysis equipment, and 100,000 tons/year of sodium hypochlorite equipment. The produced caustic soda is recycled to the epoxy resin unit and HCl is recycled to the epichlorohydrin production unit.
Since the neighboring enterprise Wanhua Chemical (Fujian) Isocyanate Co., Ltd. is building 800,000 tons/year MDI and 300,000 tons/year TDI projects, Fujian Huanyang New Materials Co., Ltd. and Wanhua Chemical (Fujian) reached an agreement (hydrogen chloride purchase and sale). After the Wanhua Chemical (Fujian) MDI project was put into operation, the by-product hydrogen chloride (about 200,000 tons/year) was supplied to Fujian Huanyang New Materials Co., Ltd. through pipelines as a raw material for the epoxychloropropane unit. As a result, Fujian Huanyang New Materials Co., Ltd. will have a surplus of about 170,000 tons/year of chlorine gas produced by the ionic membrane caustic soda unit as raw material for the 160,000 tons/year methane chloride unit and the 15,000 tons of tetrachloroethylene unit, realizing Clean production and circular economy.
Fujian Huanyang New Materials Co., Ltd., formerly known as Fuzhou Kelin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., was established in November 2016. In December 2021, it was renamed Fujian Huanyang New Materials Co., Ltd., and its registered capital increased to 630 million yuan. It has invested in the construction of 100,000 tons/year of epichlorohydrin, 60,000 tons/year of epoxy resin equipment, 240,000 tons/year of epoxy resin integrated circular economy technical transformation and comprehensive utilization demonstration equipment and supporting public projects.
