Henan implements green upgrading and transformation of key industrial chains

On February 21, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province issued the "Notice on Issuing the Implementation Guidelines for Green Upgrading and Transformation of Key Industrial Chains in the Province in 2024"(referred to as the "Guide"), aiming to accelerate the promotion of green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading of key industries and key industrial chains, driving the steady improvement of energy efficiency in enterprises in the entire industrial chain.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province, the "Guide" puts forward clear goals and paths for the green upgrading of 28 key industrial chains, striving to reach more than 20% of enterprises in key industrial chains with energy efficiency better than the benchmark level, and enterprises below the energy efficiency benchmark level are basically cleared.

It is understood that among these 28 key industrial chains, they include superhard materials, advanced aluminum-based materials, advanced copper-based materials, new nylon materials, new chemical materials, biomedicine, green building materials and other industrial chains.

The "Guide" puts forward clear requirements in terms of technology upgrade paths and process transformation paths.

In terms of technology upgrading paths, we will improve the green development level of the ethylene monomer-by-product-derivative-polymer-downstream application industrial chain, and accelerate the application of key technologies and equipment for silicon-based electronic chemicals, fluorine-containing electronic and special gases, fluorine-containing electronic chemicals, and fluorine polymers, bio-based materials, green coatings, and high-end titanium sponge raw materials.

In terms of process transformation paths, we will accelerate the transformation of green and low-carbon advanced applicable technologies such as high-efficiency heat exchange technology, carbon monoxide combustion control technology, and ethylene glycol hydrogenation technology, and strengthen the complete integrated process for petrochemical water-saving and emission reduction, and the application of advanced water-saving processes such as petrochemical sewage air flotation and biochemical filtration, regeneration and reuse complete sets of technologies, chemical wastewater dual-alkali chemical hardening technology.

The "Guide" proposes to strengthen technological research, rely on the innovative resources of universities, scientific research institutes, industry associations and industrial research institutes, and promote green common key technologies, cutting-edge leading technologies and related facilities for synergy in energy conservation, pollution reduction and carbon reduction. Research and development of equipment. Promote key industrial chain enterprises to use advanced cutting-edge technology and equipment to plan and build demonstration projects, and lead the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of the industrial chain.

According to reports, the green upgrading goals of key industrial chains in Henan Province this year are: cultivating more than 20 energy efficiency and water efficiency "leaders" enterprises; cultivating super energy efficiency factories and zero-carbon factories, adding 100 green factories and green supply chain management enterprises More than 20; a number of green design products and industrial product green design demonstration enterprises have been added; more than 30 new digital energy and carbon management centers have been built.

Su Dong, executive vice president of the Henan Province Petrochemical Association, said that looking at the 28 industrial chains mentioned in the Guide, they are all closely related to chemical industry and chemistry.
