Recently, Mitsubishi Chemical Group (MCG Group) recently launched an innovative polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) resin-ZR series NOVADURAN™. This product is unique in its ultra-low specific gravity and excellent foaming performance. Sampling work will begin in January 2024.

It is reported that ZR series is a new resin developed by MCG Group combining its proprietary formula and advanced manufacturing technology. Unlike traditional foaming materials, the ZR series can produce ultra-low specific gravity molded products below 1.0 without the use of complex processes or special molding equipment. This innovation not only simplifies the production process, but also reduces production costs, opening up more possibilities for a wide range of application areas.

In the automotive sector, reducing component weight to improve fuel efficiency and reduce carbon dioxide emissions has become an important need in the industry. ZR series PBT resins are expected to play an important role in this field due to their high chemical and heat resistance, as well as excellent weight loss effect. In addition, the resin can also be widely used in related fields such as industrial materials, power and electronics, contributing to promoting sustainable development.

MCG Group said it will continue to work to enhance the capabilities of NOVADURAN™ and develop composite product technology to provide high-performance, high-value-added products. This move will not only meet the growing needs of customers, but will also inject new vitality into the development of the chemical industry. Source: China Petroleum and Chemical Network
