Li Bohao, deputy director of the management committee of Yulin High-tech Zone, said that as an important bearing place for the development of Yulin olefin industry, the high-tech zone has remarkable advantages in basic raw materials, R & D transformation, and transportation and logistics. At present, it has formed a basic chemical production capacity of 4.8 million tons per year. At the same time, China Coal Deep processing Base (900000 tons of coal to olefin, 250000 tons of EVA), extension of 500000 tons of methanol to ethanol and other modern coal chemical projects are speeding up construction, with a solid foundation for the development of olefin new materials industry. Based on the existing industrial foundation and scientific research advantages, Yulin High-tech Zone has planned a 23.6 square kilometer chemical new material industrial park to promote the modern coal chemical industry, which is dominated by the coal-to-olefin industry chain, to extend to the middle and lower reaches, to the middle and high end, to fine chemicals, new materials and terminal applications, and to realize in-situ deep processing of ethylene, propylene and other resources. Focus on the development of high-end coatings, modified materials, polyolefin auxiliaries, high-end lubricants and other olefin downstream industries. Enterprises in the region reserve 260000 tons of ethylene and 100000 tons of propylene every year as raw materials for olefin downstream industries to build, extend and supplement chains.

In the next step, according to the development idea of "vertical to low carbon cycle and horizontal green coupling", Yulin High-tech Zone will focus on promoting the landing of projects such as Chinese chemical 50, 000 t / a POE elastomer, Wuhan Heehan high-end surfactant, innovative green energy 400000 t / a vinyl acetate, 50, 000 t / an isopropanol-10, 000 t / an isopropylamine co-production, high performance adsorption materials demonstration and so on. Build the whole industry chain of high-end olefin new materials from research and development, design, pilot test to industrialization, realize the development of refined and terminal raw materials, and strive to build a new olefin material industry cluster with an investment of more than 100 billion yuan during the 15th five-year Plan period.

At the promotion meeting, six experts, scholars and enterprise representatives also made special reports on the new technologies and achievements of olefin materials. At the project signing ceremony, 20 projects, including the second phase of the chemical industry of China Coal Deep processing Base, the 50 000 t / a ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) project, and the 1000 t / a pilot project of coal-based ethanol and benzene to ethylene, were successfully signed and settled in Yulin High-tech Zone, attracting 27.003 billion yuan of capital, including 10 contract projects and 10 agreement projects.

It is understood that the development of the olefin material industry is a major strategic choice for the Yulin municipal party committee and municipal government to build a modern industrial system based on the solid foundation and broad application scene of the energy industry, while promoting the transformation and upgrading of Yulin's traditional manufacturing industry to high-end.
