On September 15, the civil engineering of the 200,000 tons/year BDO (1,4-butanediol) Phase II project of Xinjiang Xinye Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. was delivered for installation.
Yan Yaodong, construction manager of the project, introduced that at present, the BDO vacuum pump and acetylene generator of the project have completed the hoisting of the carbide slag bin, and the production of non-standard bodies of the BDO product tank farm, intermediate tank farm, and formaldehyde intermediate tank farm has been completed. Afterwards, the project construction will usher in the peak period of installation and construction. According to the overall plan, 85% of the equipment installation is expected to be completed by the end of December, 90% of the pipe corridors and process pipelines are expected to be completed, the device process pipelines are prefabricated, and the installation of electrical instrument panels and bridges is completed.

The 60,000-ton/year BDO project in the first phase of Xinye Energy Chemical was completed and put into operation in 2019. The device is running smoothly and reaches production capacity and efficiency. The second phase of the 140,000-ton/year BDO project has a total investment of 2 billion yuan and is expected to be put into operation by the end of August 2024. After all the projects reach production capacity, the annual output value will be 2.2 billion yuan and more than 100 jobs will be provided.
Cheng Yanfeng, chief engineer and general commander of the project, said that civil engineering and transportation safety marks that the project has fully entered the equipment installation stage.
