The heavy alkali dehydration energy-saving renovation project implemented by the Saline-alkali Branch of China National Salt Inner Mongolia Chemical Co., Ltd. was officially launched recently. Inner Mongolia Chemical learned that the project will be officially filed with the Industry, Commerce and Information Technology Bureau of Alxa Left Banner, Inner Mongolia in late July 2023.
According to reports, the project has a total investment of 9.6 million yuan, all of which are self-owned funds. No bank loans have been applied. The construction site is located in the enterprise soda workshop yard of Jilantai Town, Zuoqi, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It does not involve new construction land. The planned construction start and end period is from August 2023 to October 2024.
The relevant person in charge told "Inner Mongolia Chemical" that the soda production unit of Saline-alkali Branch of China Salt Inner Mongolia Chemical Co., Ltd. adopts the ammonia-alkali production process, and the process is: brine, lime, absorption, ammonia evaporation, compression, carbonization, calcination, packaging, etc.
At present, the soda ash plant has two centrifuges, with an actual processing capacity of up to 60t/h, and a maximum wet heavy alkali production capacity of 100t/h. About 40% of the wet heavy alkali enters the light ash calciner without secondary dehydration., resulting in high energy consumption. By carrying out technical transformation based on the original calcination process and updating two dehydration centrifuges, all wet heavy alkali has undergone secondary dehydration, achieving the goal of energy conservation and cost reduction.
After the implementation of technical transformation, the energy-saving effect is outstanding, which is in line with the development laws of the industry, and at the same time meets the needs of existing enterprise production equipment processes. The construction content includes supporting equipment foundation, process pipelines, auxiliary equipment, electrical instrument automatic control systems, etc. After the implementation of the project, energy conservation and consumption reduction can be effectively achieved, and the comprehensive energy consumption is expected to be reduced by 2071 tons of standard coal per year throughout the year.
