On August 25, the installation and commissioning of the VCM device of Shaanxi Coal Group Beiyuan Chemical's first vinyl chloride synthesis gas online analysis system was completed. The online analysis data was consistent with the laboratory analysis data, marking a breakthrough in the online analysis and application research of Beiyuan Chemical Company's process indicators. Success, completely solved the online analysis problem that has been plagued by the industry for a long time.
The online analysis system mainly consists of a sample filtration and purification device, a sampling pipeline, a multi-position valve, a gas chromatograph and independently developed control software. Currently, it is put into use in the vinyl chloride converter of line E of the VCM plant, and the content of acetylene, hydrogen chloride, vinyl chloride, and dichloroethane in a total of 24 samples from 22 converters and 2 main pipes has been achieved. One set of online systems can be used. Data can be automatically analyzed in turns, which not only reduces the labor intensity of laboratory technicians for sampling and analysis, but also improves real-time and accurate monitoring of process indicators, and reduces energy consumption.
From the preliminary demonstration to the project establishment research, the project team members overcame many difficulties and solved many problems such as equipment explosion protection, sample pretreatment, medium corrosion, automatic switching, control software development, and analysis accuracy.
