Wanhua Chemical plans to build a new lithium hexafluorophosphate project

Recently, the draft for comments on the environmental impact report of the 10,000-ton/year lithium hexafluorophosphate project of Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd. was announced.

It is understood that Wanhua Chemical plans to build a new 10,000-ton/year lithium hexafluorophosphate project in Wanhua Chemical Yantai Industrial Park. The project mainly builds 1 set of 2500t/a LIF unit (lithium fluoride), supporting PPF unit (phosphorus pentafluoride) and 1 set of 10000t/a LFS unit (lithium hexafluorophosphate), supporting auxiliary projects, storage and transportation projects, environmental protection projects, etc.

Data shows that Wanhua Chemical was formerly known as Yantai Wanhua Polyurethane Co., Ltd., which was established on December 20, 1998. It was officially renamed Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd. in July 2013. It was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2001, and its stock name is referred to as "Wanhua Chemical"(600309).

Wanhua Chemical is mainly engaged in the research and development, production and sales of a full range of polyurethane products such as isocyanates and polyols, petrochemical products such as acrylics and esters, functional materials such as water-borne coatings, and special chemicals. It is understood that in addition to lithium hexafluorophosphate, Wanhua Chemical also plans to build a PVDF project in Sichuan, and the project is currently in progress.
