China's urea import and export data for August 2024

According to customs data,In August 2024, China's urea exports were 25,500 tons, a decrease of 5.39 from the previous month and a month-on-month decrease of 67.88%; a decrease of 28.85 from the same period last year and a year-on-year decrease of 91.88%; the average export price this month was US$355.13/ton. The cumulative total export volume from January to August 2024 was 244,600 tons, a decrease of 1.4024 million tons from the same period last year and a year-on-year decrease of 85.15%.

According to customs data,In August 2024, China's urea imports were 37.09 tons, a decrease of 7.20 from the previous month and a month-on-month decrease of 16.26%; an increase of 27.67 compared with the same period last year and a year-on-year increase of 293.84%; the average import price this month was US$1,543.35/ton. The cumulative total import volume from January to August 2024 was 3,872.47 tons, an increase of 1,729.13 tons from last year and a year-on-year increase of 80.67%.

In August 2024, the top 11 urea exporting countries to China are: South Korea, China Hong Kong, Brazil, Angola, Mexico, New Caledonia, Vietnam, Australia, Madagascar, Japan, and China Taiwan, accounting for 42%, 9%, 7%, 6%, 5%, 4%, 4%, 3%, and 2%.
