China's synthetic ammonia import and export data in May 2024

According to customs data,In May 2024, China's synthetic ammonia imports were 52,600 tons, a decrease of 0.19 from the previous month and a month-on-month decrease of 3.41%; a decrease of 4.99 from the same period last year, a year-on-year decrease of 48.69%; the average import price this month was US$381.35/ton. The cumulative total import volume from January to May 2024 was 258,700 tons, a decrease of 57,700 tons from the same period last year and a year-on-year decrease of 18.25%.

According to customs data,In May 2024, China's synthetic ammonia exports were 1,200 tons, a decrease of 0.05 from the previous month and a month-on-month decrease of 28.38%; a decrease of 0.13 from the same period last year, a year-on-year decrease of 51.64%; the average export price this month was US$789.58/ton. The cumulative total export volume from January to May 2024 was 18,400 tons, a decrease of 114,800 tons compared with the same period last year and a year-on-year decrease of 86.18%.

In May 2024, China's main synthetic ammonia importing countries are: Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Qatar, and Malaysia, accounting for 53%, 15%, 13%, 10%, and 9% of the total imports respectively; in May, China's main synthetic ammonia exporting countries are: Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines, accounting for 90%, 5%, and 2% of the total exports respectively.
