The progress of development and construction at Wenzhou Port Ouhai District has been updated!

Recently, the Wenzhou Port Oujiang Port Area Xiayan Operation Area East Terminal Project, undertaken by China Construction Port and Shipping Bureau, completed all 390 PHC pipe pile driving operations over water, marking the full transition into the construction phase of the terminal's superstructure.

The Wenzhou Port Oujiang Port Area Xiayan Operation Area East Terminal Project is located at the intersection of the Oujiang River and Xupu River. The terminal has a total length of 640 meters, with four new multipurpose berths and two supporting trestles being constructed. Simultaneously, supporting facilities such as cargo yards, a comprehensive office building, a transformer pump room, and a terminal power supply and transformation station are being built.

During construction, the water area was spanned by 13 cross-river bridges, imposing strict height and width restrictions on navigation. Conventional large piling vessels could not navigate into the site for operations. The project team from China Construction Port and Shipping Bureau planned ahead and implemented precise measures, selecting the DLS amphibious self-propelled multifunctional piling machine and adopting a construction mode of "land-based assembly and self-propelled water operations." This approach avoided the limitations on large equipment navigation, effectively reduced equipment entry and commissioning cycles, lowered construction costs, and improved operational efficiency. The project team strictly controlled construction quality throughout the process, relying on intelligent technologies such as GPS dynamic positioning systems and attitude sensors to monitor and track the entire pile-driving operation in real time. They precisely controlled key indicators such as pile positioning and verticality, ensuring the pile-driving tasks were completed to high standards and quality.

Upon completion, the project will establish a multimodal transport hub system integrating rail, road, and water, becoming an important carrier for port logistics and regional supply chain industry development in Lucheng District. It will effectively enhance the level of transportation development, gradually improve the new economic development framework of Lucheng District, and inject strong momentum into regional economic growth.
