China's Synthetic Ammonia Import and Export Data in August 2023

According to customs data, in August 2023, China imported 108,300 tons of synthetic ammonia, a year-on-year increase of 441.5%, and a month-on-month increase of 85.13%, with an average import price of 345.71 USD/ton. From January to August 2023, the cumulative import volume was 557,300 tons, an increase of 382,100 tons compared to last year, a year-on-year increase of 218.01%.

According to customs data, in August 2023, China's synthetic ammonia export volume was 8,600 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 54.5%, and a month-on-month decrease of 8.51%, with an average monthly export price of 315.31 USD/ton. From January to August 2023, the cumulative export volume was 152,700 tons, an increase of 105,800 tons compared to last year, a year-on-year increase of 225.54%.

In August 2023, the main countries importing synthetic ammonia to China were Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman, accounting for 59%, 27%, 8%, and 6% of the total import volume respectively; in August, the main countries to which China exported synthetic ammonia were Vietnam and Myanmar, accounting for 98% and 1% of the total export volume respectively.
